The Adult Education Committee is pleased to invite congregants and the broader Jewish community of Memphis to the new “Lehrhaus at Beth Sholom” lecture/discussion series. Lehrhaus at Beth Sholom takes its inspiration from The Free Jewish House of Learning, the school for Jewish studies and adult education founded by Franz Rosenzweig in Frankfurt in 1920. Our series will consist of four evening events over the course of 5776. During each Lehrhaus evening, one of the many Memphis scholars who work on Jewish-related topics will offer some comments and lead a discussion. Lehrhaus events will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 and will be followed by a brief reception.
